Pressure Washing Farm Equipment, Industrial and Agricultural Machinery

The most popular pressure washer, in our selection, for agricultural and farm equipment cleaning is the hydraulic pressure washer . This is an incredibly powerful cold water pressure washer, capable of tackling any job (you must have a live hydraulic power source). This unit is exceptionally light and therefore the portability is not an issue. Another fashionable power washer for agricultural pressure washing is the honda powerwasher. This is a high performance, heavy-duty unit placed on the master frame, supported by the four pneumatic tires. For industrial pressure washing we recommend a diesel pressure washer . This machine offers great mobility, more power, speed and freedom. If your industrial cleaning job requires power washing equipment with hot water, we strongly suggest the hot water power washer . This unit comes with the burner that uses diesel or kerosene to heat up water and the pump can be powered by electric, gasoline or diesel fuel. Our pressure washers are also easily adaptable to perform jobs such as sand blasting, disinfecting and clearing frozen and clogged drains.

If you plan to use your pressure washer to clean farm equipment, industrial or agricultural machinery you will need a high rated power unit. Such units are designed for long hours of labor and are built with the higher quality parts that have more washing power. As such they will last longer than cheaper residential models. Some manufacturers develop units using the cheapest parts so that they can sell them for the lowest possible price. Unfortunately, those kinds of pressure washers become useless items after one hundred hours and end up being a scrap. You will then have to spend more money to buy another one. This is why it is in your best interest to purchase the right unit the very first time. Your new unit should have the highest quality parts, so that you can receive a power washer that is suitable for all your industrial and agricultural duty applications. Use your pressure washer to clean: tractors, combines, field cultivators, stalk shredders, balers, grain carts, platforms, pickers, grain handling equipment and trailers, planters and seeders.

Agricultural and farm machinery pressurewash should be done over an unpaved area, such as an area covered with grass or gravel. Washing over an unpaved surface will allow the soapy water to soak into the ground, be filtered and eventually recharge the groundwater. If you have your own well, you should wash your equipment at least 100 feet from the wellhead. If you wash the equipment on a paved surface, the runoff flows into a storm drain and the water and contaminants are discharged to the nearest lake or stream. Here is the general guideline on how to perform farm equipment powerwash, and industrial and agricultural machinery cleaning:

Wash your equipment after each use and/or before storing it.

  • Attach the water hose to your power washer. Check the fuel and oil levels. Start the pressure washer.
  • Spray your equipment with the water mixed with the detergent. Use low pressure since this way the water and the detergent will not splash away.
  • Spray from a distance of 2-3 feet from the surface being cleaned. Start from the lowest point on the machinery and work your way up towards the highest point. This way you will avoid streaking.
  • Apply plenty of detergent to dissolve the dirt at the surface you are cleaning
  • Allow 5-10 minutes for the detergents to start dissolving the debris being cleaned
  • Deliver the "punch" with the high water pressure. Start removing the dirt from the surface. Don't be afraid to use the high-pressure washer aggressively- pins, cutters, and a majority of the parts are built from the hard metal and led material.
  • Rinse - use plenty of water to flush away the dirt. Start from the top and work your way towards the bottom. This will avoid having the dirt running over the clean/rinsed area. The best results are achieved with the wide spray angle (25 or 40 degrees).
